Japanese Sorcerer Puts Anti-Putin Witchcraft Dolls at Shrines

A senior citizen has been arrested on charges of trespassing on the Mikazuki temple in Matsudo, Chiba prefecture in Japan for trying to cast spell on Vladimir Putin, the country’s leader of Russia.

In addition to trespassing, Mitsunobo Hino was also charged with damage to property after it nailed a "wara ningyo" or puppet with a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sacred tree of the temple.

The bizarre scene was first discovered by a panicked Shinto worshiper who alerted the priest Takeo Takahashi of a Japanese voodoo doll adorned with Putin's face nailed to a tree. The doll was bound together with red yarn and impaled with a sturdy nail onto a 200-year-old sacred tree.

At first, the priest was puzzled by the phenomenon, but when he took down the doll and draw the inserted piece of white paper, the name of Putin, his date of birth, and the phrase " pray for the obliteration of evil " are written.

Since May 2022, it has become a mystery that ten crucified Vladimir Putin effigies made of straw were seen by officials in various parts of the temple.

With the help of CCTV in the vicinity, it was learned that 72-year-old Hino did it which leads to his arrest.

Police and priests suspect that this strange action is a product of some Japanese anger at Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

According to a Kyodo News survey, seven out of  10 Japanese are in favor of sanctions against Russia even if it impacts their economy and their lives.

 Did the sorcery work?

There were already rumors about Putin's health before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. One is, about a secret recording of a Russian oligarch claiming Putin is very sick with blood cancer.
