According to their survey of 113 newlyweds, if her husband is not attractive, the woman will not struggle to maintain her beauty. She cannot be forced to diet and lose weight in order for his partner to remain with her. While a woman with a handsome husband will work hard to maintain her beauty in order for him not to leave her.
On the other hand, husbands with good-looking wives are more dedicated to pleasing their wives.
"Husbands seemed more committed, more invested in pleasing their wives when they felt they were getting a good deal," the study said.
According to the findings of their research, having a handsome husband has negative consequences.
"These results show that having a physically attractive husband can have negative consequences for wives, especially if those husbands are not particularly attractive," said researcher Tania Reynolds.
So, if you still don't have a girlfriend, it's possible that you're handsome because they're looking for ugly guys out there.
